Global Disability Summit 2025 – Animated Closing Video for an Inclusive Future
On April 2–3, 2025, the Global Disability Summit (GDS) took place in Berlin – an international gathering with a clear goal: to strengthen global inclusion for persons with disabilities. Guided by the UN’s Agenda 2030 principle of “Leave No One Behind,” representatives from governments, civil society, and international organizations came together to discuss and advance the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
A central message of the summit was: “15 percent for the 15 percent” – a powerful call to action reminding the world that 15% of the global population lives with a disability, and deserves full access, equal rights, and meaningful participation.
EYES-OPEN and weissbunt were proud to contribute to this important movement with an animated video presented during the summit’s official closing ceremony. The video visualized the wide range of countries that endorsed the Amman-Berlin Declaration, reaffirming their commitment to accessibility, equality, and inclusion.
The closing was powerfully hosted by renowned activist and founder of The Valuable 500, Caroline Casey, whose compelling presence and emotional message turned our film into the emotional high point of the two-day event.
Our video was more than a visual element – it became a symbol of global cooperation, shared responsibility, and the collective determination to ensure that no one is left behind.
